Language exchange

The best way to become truly proficient at speaking and understanding English, is practising, mainly with native English-speakers. Unfortunately, such opportunities can be hard to find. Not everyone has the opportunity to study abroad in the US, UK, or other English-speaking nations.

The Internet offers a world of possibilites to learn and practise languages, you don't have to travel abroad to become fluent. From the convenience of your own home you can converse with other people.

Visit Laura's blog to find out more about exchanges with native people.

My friend and I were recently talking about how technology has become so integrated in our day to day lives. Reading this post makes me think back to that discussion we had, and just how inseparable from electronics we have all become.

I don't mean this in a bad way, of course! Ethical concerns aside... I just hope that as technology further innovates, the possibility of transferring our brains onto a digital medium becomes a true reality. It's a fantasy that I dream about all the time.
